We have an extraordinary team of Jr. High teachers with an array of education backgrounds as well as passions for sports, theater, music, science, and more.  They care deeply about the students as a whole child and really work with and pay attention to the personal needs and interests of students, their social and emotional well being and their academics.

Curriculum 

Our Junior High program follows the Utah Core Standards to prepare the students for high school. We are guided by Montessori values such as following the child, independence and building community. We offer students opportunities for outdoor education, self-expression, and leadership. 


Our Jr. High students have many opportunities to be a part of various groups and organizations through out the year including: Student Council, HOPE Squad,  various sports programs, theater, after school violin class, DnD Club, Chess Club, Game Development Club, and more. 
Students also have the opportunity to plan, present, and get approval for clubs that are of interest to them!






Athletics

Competitive Team Sports

We have competitive sports at Maria Montessori Academy!

Grades 6-9 participate in soccer, flag football and basketball. We are actively looking for a cross country and track coach!  

Our Junior high teachers, Mr. David, Mr. Todd, with the help of some parent volunteers,  are outstanding coaches who value dedication, hard work and team work!  No matter what your skill level is, you are WELCOME to play and have fun!
