Ms. Sam has been working at Maria Montessori for 4 years as a lower elementary teaching assistant, and has worked in childcare for 2 years before coming to MMA. She first found her love for working with kids when she started at a daycare center in 2019 which then led her to Maria Montessori where she has worked in the same classroom since she started with Ms. Jalee. She is also a former attendant of Maria Montessori where she completed grades 5 through 9 and attended. She enjoyed attending school through all her years at MMA which is another reason she wanted to return and could not be happier with her choice. Over the past 4 years, Ms. Sam has been attending Weber State University working towards a bachelors in psychology with a minor in child and family studies and graduated fall of 2024. She is now working on applying for her masters in school counseling which she hopes to start in the fall of 2025. She has a great love for Montessori teaching partly because of her positive experiences in her educational journey but also because this philosophy values social and emotional learning and looking at the whole child which she knows is extremely important for the development of each child. Outside of school, Ms. Sam enjoys being in nature (hiking, campling, paddleboarding), going to concerts, and crocheting. She is excited to continue her educational journey at MMA and to continue growing and learning from her students and amazing work family.
